A Proven Track Record

Over 15 years of energy-efficient facility management excellence

With 15 years of experience, Founder Sal Alhelo, PE, LEED AP (BD+C), has made an indelible mark on the energy management, engineering, construction and building operations industries. His exceptional expertise serves as the guiding force in EOS Labs’ ongoing innovation and in breaking past archaic ways of thinking to pave the way for the next generation of energy consumption management.

Thought Leadership

Founder Sal Alhelo has played a significant role in multi-billion dollar projects

Over the years, Alhelo has played a significant role in the design of multi-billion-dollar hotels and casinos in Las Vegas and healthcare facilities in Texas, as well as managed facilities programs for a Fortune 500 company for over six years. With time, Alhelo came to recognize the stark differences between the power of big data vs. the limited capabilities of limp utility data.

As a result, Alhelo is uniquely positioned to provide building facility managers and utility companies with deep insights to optimize energy usage and increase savings, built on taking uncontextualized umbrella data and giving it personalized life.

Alhelo serves as Chair of the Connex Technology Council designed for the advancement of the multi-site FM industry. He authored two articles in Smart Energy Decisions on the subject of energy management and efficiency maintenance, and has presented at national energy management conferences and meetings, including Connex FM, the U.S. Department of Energy Better Building Summit, the Edison Electric Institute and the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).

Education & Beyond

An accredited professional in leadership in energy and environmental design

Alhelo holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and energy sciences and a Master of Business Administration with a minor in data analytics. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and an accredited professional in leadership in energy and environmental design (building, design and construction).

Alhelo resides in McKinney, Texas with his wife Raina, and their 3-year-old daughter and two month old son. In his free time, he enjoys reading and traveling, and he is currently trying to improve his biking skills.
